Dr. Raymond Deutsch

Dr. Deutsch has testified for over 15 years as a legal expert in areas of Addiction Medicine. He has testified in both state and federal courts on issues related to all aspects of drug and alcohol in both civil and criminal matters. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California Fresno.

He maintains a private practice in Internal and Addiction Medicine in the Central and Northern California areas. He received his undergraduate medical degree at University of California Davis, and his medical degree at the University of California Irvine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in San Francisco.  He completed additional training in Addiction Medicine at the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Center in San Francisco. He was the Medical Director of Substance Use Services and the Medical Director of the ARC ( A Recovery Center for Chemical Dependencies) for Community Hospitals of Central California for 12 years.

Past Medical Director of two rural health clinics for Sierra Kings District Hospital, Dr. Deutsch continues to work at the health clinics, and maintains an active practice in Internal Medicine in Central California. In addition, he maintains an active medical consultaion practice providing medical consultations to psychiatric hospitals in Northern and Central California. He has lectured extensively in the U.S and Europe on issues related to addiction medicine and the law.
